Well the meeting i mentioned a little while about has been and gone.
Daniel has 13+ reading age and along with a few other subjects this
means his present special needs schools can not stretch him.
Yes he belongs where he is but not at the cost of his education. But
his education cant be at the cost of his mental well being either. Got two special needs schools outside our area to go look round where they can stretch him.
Daniel at first when i mentioned stretching thought they wanted to pull on him
to make him longer.
Anyway a meeting with the LEA towards the end of november has been set up and we will
see what happens.
One thing is for sure just because he has put a lot of effort in his reading no matter what we will never send him into
a mainstream enviroment again.
He has been there worn the T-shirt and starred in the film so to speak.
well still got my little problem i mentioned on my other blog. Little things keep
getting done.
Had the car damaged recently. was not amused. the car is my wife and sons legs.
i cant go on buses with Daniel . i remember the last time.
he would not get off the bus as it said no standing amongst other things.
Anyway daniel has managed to cause some kind of trouble in the form of print outs at school.
Apparently thousands of copies were printed out in another room. Daniel i was told is the only person there capable
of such a thing who was present and some logs prove it .. He insists it was not him. he rarely has the ability to lie so i met him in the middle.
I told him it was wrong to do something like that without placing the blame on him.
Do i think he did it. He may have been involved in it but i dare say probley if history is anything to go by if he was told or asked
as he is easliy led he may have done. But anyway the point is now not who done it but thats it wrong to waste resources. He knows now if he remembers.
Well apart from that its been pretty un eventful . Mind you fireworks have been causing a few problems. Daniel is hypersentive to noise and
its been hell. Its like its firework month now instead of bonefire night. On that i must go as i several things to do and not enough time to do them all.
