i almost forgot to say .
the home teaching of daniel ws short lived.
AFTER THE MEETING WITH THE LEA.
SOME WEEKS BACK.
i forgot to update but its been exciting as daniel is going to an autism specific school.
The children there are all autistic and he loves it.
He even now looks forward to going.
it just amazing to see the difference in him.
He even now goes by taxi . something he would not do as he wanted to be us until the last moment at his other schools
and so i used to drive there and back twice covering 80 miles a day just for school.so
so i moved closer to it but then i could not send him any more as it was destroying him.
but it seems the LEA listened here something solihull never did..
so moving was a good thing in the end.
He does not get detentions for thinking out loud anymore.
the teachers are all very experienced where autism is concerned.
and everyone in the school is more like a large extended family.
he has made friends with the other kids and the staff.
he njoys break times which are well structured .
it has made a difference at home too.
i know although it has very few children it wont effect him socially as the large
amount of kids at previous schools just made him want to hide in the toilets all day as
he could not sensory tolerate it.
There is NO !! doubt about it.
this was where he should of been all along.
hundreds more children are still suffering and will always struggle to survive
through mainstream and some non autism specific special needs schools.
(please see my previous posting )
where autism awareness and training just dont happen.
it so unfair because i now know the diffrence it can make .
i have seen it and experienced it with my own eyes.
please get all your friends and their friends to sign my
petition on the number 10 downing street petition site.
if just one school was built then it was worth your 3 minutes to sign up.

thank you in advance
